Dear Twin Rivers Elementary Family and Friends,

This note is to inform all of you that I will be taking a medical leave of absence for an unknown period of time. I have a genetic degenerative hip condition that requires total hip replacement.  It was inevitable that the surgery take place, it was just a matter of when-and I am opposed to taking medication to numb the problem……not to mention cease physical activity.

During this time Denise Foth and Katie Laffoon will be in my place in the office, to greet you on the phone, in person and take care of requests and/or concerns about school related issues.  Please be patient with them during this time and understand that they will meet your needs or answer questions as quickly as possible.

All in the office and staff have been troopers in taking over ---it DOES TAKE A VILLAGE…………….BUT WHEN YOUR VILLAGE IS OUTSTANDING…IT DOESN’T TAKE LONG TO ADJUST!!

My hope is to be up and “running” very quickly and be back at work before “statistics” say that one should be.  With this said, I ask that you say an extra prayer for me for a safe surgery/speedy and complication free recovery.

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, routine jobs into joy and change ordinary opportunities into blessings!

Thank you!

Kelly
